The Pride GoGo Plus is a very good Travel/Boot Scooter, it is very similar to the Pride GoGo LX however there are some differences that are important to mention, the Scooter itself is slightly longer giving more leg room and it also is fitted with slightly larger wheels that can cope better with bumpy ground. One area the GoGo Plus lacks in comparison with the LX is that it is missing the seat post suspension which is a shame, the larger wheels do compensate to an extent but I think the suspension post would be a useful addition to this scooter.
The Pride GoGo Plus has a 4MPH top speed, two battery options depending on how far you need to travel. First you have a 12Ah battery box which will provide you with a range of around 6miles and secondly you have an 18Ah battery box which will improve the scooters range up to around 10 miles, while the extra distance is beneficial the a lot of users you will need to consider that the 18Ah battery box is quite a bit heavier than the 12Ah version so it definitely worth having a feel of the two different weights before purchasing to make sure you chose the right one for you.
The GoGo Plus comes with a well made comfortable seat which rotates 360 degrees, the seat is fitted with armrest's which can be lifted and lowered to aid getting onto and off of the scooter, another great feature is the seat post suspension which absorbs some of the vibrations when travelling on bumpier ground. It also comes with a front LED (Light Emitting Diode) curb light, easy to use Delta handle bars and a high level charging socket to help avoid bending to plug in the scooter.
The battery box is easily removable from the scooter so if you plan on leaving you're scooter in the car you can remove the battery box and take it indoors to charge on its own, when fully charged simply place it back onto the scooter.
The GoGo Plus like most other Transportable boot scooters has solid tyres which gives great peace of mind knowing you wont get a puncture on your travels, but they don't have as much shock absorption as pnumatic/inflatable tyres have.
The GoGo Plus is most suited for use in shopping centre's and supermarket's with occasional footpath use, but I have known many people that use them for everyday use and have no problems.
Charging
When charging your scooter you should be aiming to charge it for around 8-10 hours (overnight is a good time) always remember to charge the scooter after every time you use it. If you will not be using you're scooter for a period of time in winter for example we strongly recommend you charge you're scooter at least once a week to keep the battery's topped up, this can help prolong the life of you're batterys
Servicing
Currently servicing is not required in the UK on Mobility Scooters however we always recommend that you try to get your scooter serviced once a year the same as you would do with a car, this can help make sure everything is running smoothly and possibly alert you if anything may need repair or replacement this can be done at most local Mobility Shops, should cost around £50.00-£75.00 and take just a few hours to complete.
Insurance
Insurance on mobility scooters is not required by law, however we feel it is worthwhile to insure any scooter for peace of mind. Not only can you cover yourself if you're scooter is lost stolen or damaged, but many policies come with Public Liability also should you be involved in an incident with a third party.
Many insurance companies also offer a Recovery/Breakdown service as well as Extended Warranties.
Pricing Guide
We have researched this scooter both in many UK showrooms and online and have found this scooter will retail in store for between £700 and £1000.
The scooter can be found online for anywhere between £525 and £1000.
If there are any questions you have regarding the GoGo Plus please feel free to ask for any information in this thread.
