Grab Bars come in many different sizes, Colours, Styles and fixings.
Firstly you have the most secure fixing which is screwed and fixed permanently to your wall (Advisable to get someone with a knowledge of fixings to fit your grab bar) and second you have your suction grab bar, With your suction grab bar you must ensure a clean, Flat and non porous surface for it to hold securely. Suction grab bars are mostly used in the bathroom and can be moved with ease should you need them else where.
You can get grab bars in most sizes to suit your needs and most mobility shops will stock the most common sizes which are 12", 18" and 24".
You can also get angled grab bars which are most used on steps.
You will also be able to find grab bars in most colours to suit your decor. You can also get grab bars for outdoor use so they wont rust or be slippery when wet.
