REVIEW
The Invacare Leo is a lovely medium sized scooter with excellent build quality and reliability, it has a 4MPH top speed with a range of around 12-15 miles per charge. It has a very easy to use T-bar handle bar and full lighting system which consist's of headlights, rear lights, indicators, brake light and hazard lights. Although the Leo doesn't have a captains seat it does have a larger and much comfier seat than other scooters in it's range, the seat rotates 360 degrees and also has arms that lift up and down which make it easier to get on and off.
The Leo doesn't come with suspension but it does have pneumatic tyres which are very good and give the Leo a very good quality smooth ride.
The Leo is fitted with a high level charging socket on the side of the Tiller which makes it easier to charge as you dont have to bend down to plug it in.
The Leo is a medium sized scooter which isn't designed as a boot scooter but can come apart into smaller parts if you do need to take it apart to take on you're holidays or anywhere else you may need it. However we don't recommend that you take apart on a daily basis as the parts although manageable are still quite heavy.
The Leo is a perfect scooter for everyday use, it offers a high comfort level and rock solid reliability to reassure you when your out and about.
Charging
When charging your scooter you should be aiming to charge it for around 8-10 hours (overnight is a good time) always remember to charge the scooter after every time you use it. If you will not be using you're scooter for a period of time in winter for example we strongly recommend you charge you're scooter at least once a week to keep the battery's topped up, this can help prolong the life of you're batteries.
Servicing
Currently servicing is not required in the UK on Mobility Scooters however we always recommend that you try to get your scooter serviced once a year the same as you would do with a car, this can help make sure everything is running smoothly and possibly alert you if anything may need repair or replacement this can be done at most local Mobility Shops, should cost around £50.00-£75.00 and take just a few hours to complete.
Insurance
Insurance on mobility scooters is not required by law, however we feel it is worthwhile to insure any scooter for peace of mind. Not only can you cover yourself if you're scooter is lost or stolen, but many policies come with Public Liability also.
Pricing Guide
We have researched this scooter both in many UK showrooms and online and have found this scooter will retail in store for between £750 and £1300.
The scooter can be found online for anywhere between £700 and £1200.
